On June 9, 2022, Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, officially announced that he would acquire the world-renowned Poloniex in conjunction with TRON DAO
Reserve (abbreviated as TRON DAO
Reserve) and several well-known investment institutions, and at the same time use TRON Exchange as its Chinese community brand. This acquisition realized Sun Yuchen's previously announced dual-wheel drive plan of public chain plus exchange, and further improved the TRON ecosystem.
